Definition

"Panda Gîtes" are accommodation classified by "Gîtes de France", set in a Regional
or National Nature Park, that has been granted the WWF France label, if the
following three conditions are met :

- the gîtes provide facilities for nature watching in a quality natural environment ;
- they also provide a full range of equipment and relevant information;
- they are run by owners with a solid commitment to protecting the environment.

Gîte Equipment

All "Panda Gîtes" provide their guests with a teaching kit comprising:

- local flora and fauna identification guides
- Several pairs of binoculars,
- topographical maps of the site and the area,
- brochures giving information about local and points of interest (visits to
nature reserves, nature events, etc.)
- a handbook with details of trails, the surrounding area, local points of interest,
etc.,produced by the owner and the park.
